How do you clean a pair of Rockport boots?

After a school trip to the mud flats, my Rockport boots are really muddy ( i washed that off) but how do you get the sea side smell ou of the fabric? I was an idiot I wore them unfastened so the came off in the mud. any help?

How do you clean a pair of Rockport boots?
I use a small nail brush and some apple washing up liquid, just gently scrub them clean, wash it off and let them dry, when dry apply polish or suede and nubuck cleaner and protector. They look as good as new and no longer stink.
Reply:Leave them outside your door before you go to bed.
Reply:Don%26#039;t wash for a week, you will smell worse than the boots so hopefully one-one will notice.
Reply:Knock them on the wall to rid of excess mud and then put in the washing machine.
Reply:you dont there a hikin boot and if u really really want them clean go get some polish or sumthin nd a cloth nd some elbow grease nd start scrubbin%26#039;
Reply:Stick them in the washing machine and let them dry naturally then polish them with shoe/boot polish.
Reply:but some oder eaters or something.........or oust %26quot;gets rid of odours, doesnt just cover them%26quot; as the advert says lol
